Versatile Mounting

Wyze Cam v3 can be mounted 3 ways, depending on where you need to mount it.

Magnetic Mounting

Wyze Cam v3 includes a magnet in its base that allows it to be mounted to all steel or iron surfaces, no drilling required. Simply stick the base bottom of the camera to the surface and adjust the camera.

To mount it on non metal surfaces, we’ve included a metal plate with an adhesive backing. Stick the plate to your surface, and your camera to the plate, and you’re all set.

Screw Mounting

If you want a more secure mount, using the included screw kit to mount your camera.

Night Vision

Wyze Cam v3 has new and improved low-light vision, giving you a wider range of possibilities when using it at night.

1/4″-20 Mounting

Wyze Cam v3 has a `1/4″-20 threaded connection underneath that you can use to mount the cam to any standard 1/4″-20 mount.

Color Night Vision (or Low Light Vision)

Since Wyze Cam v3 has much better image processing in low light than most of our other cameras, it’s actually capable of showing a clear image even without Night Vision turned on. Since this relies on at least a small amount of light in the area to work, it won’t be perfect for every situation, but it will allow you the option of leaving Night Vision most of time time.

Regular Infrared Night Vision

To turn on Night Vision, go to the Wyze app and tap on your camera. Tap on the Night Vision icon on the top right.

Here you can turn Night Vision to On, Off, or Auto.

How Does It Work?

Wyze Cam v3 has 4 LED infrared LED lights that are turned on when Night Vision is on. You may notice a clicking sound when Night Vision is turned on or off, which represents the IR filter moving away from the lens to let the infrared light through.

Adaptive IR Lights

Wyze Cam v3 can toggle the IR lights between three settings when using Night Vision; Far, Near, or Off.

To toggle the IR light brightness, use the following process:

  1. In the Wyze app, tap on the camera.
  2. Go to the Settings > Advanced Settings.
  3. If Night Vision is On, you’ll have a Night Vision IR Lights option. Tap this to access the 3 options (Far/Near/Off), along with a preview window.

Siren

Wyze Cam v3 has a pretty excellent deterrent for bad guys that you don’t want hanging around your home – a siren. It’s a loud squeal that you can control from the Wyze app.

    • To turn off, tap Siren again.
